One of the questions we get most often at Marks Group Live is “what is the difference between the campaigns module in Zoho CRM and the Campaigns platform on Zoho One?”. This is a very good question, and one I’m going to review today. In short, both programs have the capability of sending out mass emails to your client base… so why two different programs?
CRM Campaigns
So for those of you who are unfamiliar with CRM’s, it stands for Customer Relationship Management. Zoho CRM is a very sophisticated data base for you to keep track of all of your leads, customers, deals, etc. and one of the out of the box modules is the campaigns module. The campaigns module is a place where you can plan and store information about any marketing you are about to, or recently have launched. If you are sending emails out, you can also do this through the campaigns module, although there is a limit on the amount of emails you can send out at one time. In short, the campaigns module in Zoho CRM is a place for you to store information about your marketing campaigns, but if you are looking to execute these marketing strategies, the Zoho Campaigns app is where you want to be.
Zoho Campaigns App
This app is your one stop shop to fire off any marketing campaigns that your business is running. Unlike in Zoho CRM, this app has no limit on the amount of emails that you can send out. This can be very helpful when you have a large customer base that you would like to reach. This program also allows you to track who opens up your email and how they interact with it. Zoho Campaigns also allows you to send follow up emails to people who do not open up the initial contact, to assure that you are doing everything you can to maximize your customer outreach. This App also comes with a full range of email templates you can use and customize for your marketing needs. You can also sync this app with your CRM and website, so you can automatically reach new subscribers and leads. Like many of the Zoho products, you can run an extensive group of reports to maximize your marketing effectiveness.
