It’s not too often we get a new feature in Dynamics, so I’m excited to share this one with you this month! You may have noticed a new button on records in the last few months called “Check Access”, which gives you a summary of your access to any given record. Administrators can even check other users’ access, which is great for troubleshooting, as the “security roles” screens are a bit clunky.
If you’re working from home, you’re probably dealing with some sort of background noise–kids, dogs, construction, all of the above… (if this is you, hang in there!) Thankfully, Microsoft released noise suppression settings for Teams in December. Keep reading to learn where to adjust this setting. Read More
GoldMine fields can be formatted to display in a different color based on their value. This can help data stand out to users and help them easily identity data values.
GoldMine Expression fields are used to display text only. The information displayed can be free form text or a dbase formula. Users cannot enter or change any data in these fields and you are limited to 15 characters like field labels are.
To easily access files associated with a contact record, use the Links tab and create either a link to a specific file or to an entire folder or directory of files. It’s easy!
We posted a previous blog on the basics of Zoho CRM Pipelines, and how they can be used to better manage your financial information and revenue streams. For years, a workaround has been required to add group/shared calendars to Microsoft Teams. Microsoft has finally released a feature to add a shared calendar to a channel in Teams. Before you get too excited, though, note that it does not seem to be possible to connect to an existing group calendar like you do in the proposed workaround! You can now, however, add a new calendar shared with the members of a channel. Read More
In the spirit of Spring being just around the corner (or maybe that’s just wishful thinking…), I’ll show you how to tidy up your form selection screen from the solution. It’s an easy way to simplify the forms available to users and administrators in the back-end. Read More
Administrators, this one’s for you! One of the long-missing features has been returned in a recent update to the Unified Interface: viewing background (workflow) processes directly from a record. Until recently in the Unified Interface, to see background/process sessions, you needed to open the actual workflow, then navigate to the sessions from there. This was particularly annoying when troubleshooting (eg. Record X was not created after Opportunity Z closed–why?), especially when the culprit might be one of, say, three workflows. Below, I’ll show you where to find the background process table from an individual record.

Did you know that Zoho CRM has a multiple pipeline feature that enables your company to easily separate revenue streams? Pipelines are the expected amount of revenue in open deals based on the deal stage. If you have multiple sources of revenue it can be hard to easily keep all the revenue separate to see detailed financials. And that’s where multiple pipelines come in! Keep reading for an introduction to the Zoho CRM Pipeline feature. Read More
